Our Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility
At Jenkinson Logistics, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a growing part of our culture. We are committed to conducting our business in a sustainable and ethical manner, mindful of our impact on the environment, our colleagues, and the communities we serve. We believe that responsible logistics is not only better for the planet but also essential for long-term success and building trusted relationships with our clients and partners. We are conscious that the movement of goods impacts our carbon footprint, given our required use of aircraft, ships, trucks and trains. That doesn’t mean that we ignore the impact. It means that we have to work harder than many other industries to act in as responsible a manner as possible for the greater good of the planet and our community.
Planet:
Environmental Sustainability in Logistics
We are dedicated to minimising our environmental footprint throughout our logistics processes. This includes optimising routes to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, exploring and implementing greener transportation options where feasible, and managing waste responsibly in our facilities. We are constantly seeking innovative ways to enhance our environmental performance and contribute to a more sustainable supply chain.
At all our owned sites we have installed solar panels to reduce the electricity we draw from the grid.
People:
Prioritising Our Team and Safety
Our colleagues are our most valuable asset. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for our team, whether they are in the office, warehouse, or on the road. We invest in training and development to ensure our team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively and safely. We foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement, recognising the vital role our team plays in delivering exceptional service.
Community and Partners:
Building Responsible Relationships
We believe in being a responsible corporate citizen and contributing positively to the communities where we operate. We aim to build strong, ethical relationships with our partners and suppliers, promoting sustainable practices throughout the supply chain. By working together, we can amplify our positive impact and drive meaningful change in the logistics industry and beyond.
Our initiatives include but are not limited to:
- A biodiversity project through the Green Ocean Foundation, where we are supporting the regeneration of Oyster Beds in the Irish Sea.
- Forest project – in 2025 we acquired a 25ha parcel of land in Co.Longford. We have completed our first tree planting operation and will continue to develop the area with biodiversity as the main aim.
